About Gary
Gary Nadeau
Gary Nadeau is an author, certified mindfulness instructor, vocational teacher, and advocate for mental health and grief awareness. Based in Western Massachusetts, Gary turned to writing to navigate the profound loss of his son, Bradlee, who passed away four years ago.
His memoir, I Love You Mostest, is a moving tribute to Bradlee’s life—an exceptional young man who, despite facing lifelong health struggles, always carried a smile and focused entirely on caring for those around him. A standing theme in the book is mindfulness, a practice Gary has dedicated himself to for over a decade. He completed a rigorous, year-long training course with Inward Bound Mindfulness Education (iBme) and holds teaching certifications from both iBme and the International Mindfulness Teachers Association (IMTA).
By day, Gary is a vocational teacher at Westfield Technical Academy, where he teaches manufacturing and CNC machining. He balances his time in the classroom and at his writing desk by spending time with his family. Alongside his wife, Julie, and their daughter, Ashlee, Gary works daily to navigate life after loss. To find peace, he and Julie enjoy being seasonal campers in Vermont, and Gary loves nothing more than paddleboarding on the water with their dog, Willow.
